The F-D/4-05 type detonation locks manufactured by Földfém Kft. meet the requirements for detonation locks specified in EU standard MSZ EN 12874:2001.
A detonation lock is a safety device that can prevent the spread of a flame front even if its speed exceeds 500 m/s.
The detonation lock consists of three main units: a protective element (flame filter insert), its holder, and two shock wave breakers. The shock wave breakers protect the detonation lock insert by absorbing the kinetic energy of the shock wave generated in the pipeline, thus preventing the dampened detonation shock wave acting on one side of the flame arrester insert and the ignition and heat effects of the flame front on the other side from igniting or detonating the combustible mixture.
