The F-1 type deflagration locks manufactured by Földfém Kft. meet the requirements for explosion locks specified in standard MSZ EN 12874:2001. The F-1 type deflagration lock is a protective system designed to prevent the spread of flames or deflagration (explosion below the speed of sound) at the installation site. The installation site is an environment or pipeline in which an explosive gas/vapor-air mixture may form.
The assembly provides protection against atmospheric explosions as a final safeguard. It can only be installed in systems where operating conditions that could cause short-term or sustained combustion on the assembly are unlikely to occur.
