FF-LSU

Forced-action breathing valve for floating roof tanks. Exhalation and inhalation take place into and from the external environment. Valve opening at a specified position using a rod mechanism.

The LSU air valve is a fitting that limits the overpressure that builds up during filling and the vacuum that occurs during draining within the floating roof system when the floating roof approaches or reaches the lowest point of the system. The valve opens when the roof sinks to the designed height with the help of a rod cut to the appropriate size. The tight seal is ensured by the weight of the valve body (together with the rod) and the oil-resistant seal located on the valve seat.

Since the valve draws air from the open air and the gases from the system escape here – which, when mixed with air, can form a flammable mixture – it is advisable to insert an explosion valve manufactured by Földfém Kft. between the system and the outlet, suitable for the type of gas escaping (IIA, IIB). If the medium is not flammable, it is sufficient to equip the valve with a rain cap. The exhaust valve must be installed in a vertical position on top of the pipeline or tank. It can usually be welded to the system.
