The F-D/F-S type liquid-filled detonation lock is a protective system designed to prevent the spread of flames, deflagration (explosion) or detonation occurring in the pipe at the installation site to the protected tank or equipment (MSZ EN 12874:2001 specifications for liquid-filled detonation arresters).
The installation location is a pipeline that only transports liquids that can create an explosive vapor/(gas)-air mixture classified as IIB3. The residual liquid in the fitting provides the protective effect of the fitting! The F-D/F-S type liquid-filled detonation lock can be installed as a pipe safety device at any distance from the presumed ignition point.
